I think is very useful to have data in real-time on disaster situation. Maybe can fail in the weather situation or due transmission difficulties but these devices still keeping the data in the arrival in the hospital even they couldn’t transmit on the move.

Civil protection can create a registration record for First Aid Volunteer Groups. Civil protection with National Prehospital Centers must train and certify these groups on medical issues. In attack scenarios maybe can use these teams, not in the dangerous area of the crisis but back to help in transportation or in the second triage area

I think the best tool for raising awareness on bystander’s role is the training. Spots from the state on tv shows or articles which will show the value of the bystander’s role on the emergency health situation. Discussion in school to show to young people this value

    Hello from Greece

I’m EMT-I/Rescuer on Hellenic National Center for Emergency Care (EKAB) and also a member of the Special Unit for Disaster Medicine which is a special unit focus on disaster relief . Realy it’s a challenge to have many scenes with disaster. Greece has established a National Coordination Center for Health (EKEPY) issues with EKAB in order to coordinate and manage any crisis no matter how big it is. We are working in a certain process all over Greece. EKEPY and EKAB are state organizations.

It’s a challenge to inspire and persuade bystanders to take part in rescuing a person at risk. This was difficult sometimes before COVID19. There is a fear about the pandemic. We must convince and train them that there is a safe way in order to resuscitate and to reduce the danger of dissemination. Anyone has a fabric mask in a pocket anymore. So the bystander can provide only compressions wearing fabric mask and putting on mouths victim a simple fabric like a towel , blouse, etc
