Add new EMS term

To unify the communication and knowledge exchange between the emergency medical teams across Europe iProcureSecurity seeks to translate the identified EMS terms in all consortium languages.

That is why the project encourages everyone willing to contribute, to suggest and add missing terminology translation.

Ambulance Service Accreditation
Area: Emergency Medical Services

Means that the service has met the “gold standard” determined by the ambulance industry to be essential in a modern emergency medical services provider.

Service in which the patient’s condition requires medical transportation where the use of specialized medical skills and/or equipment is medically necessary and crucial to the safe transportation of the patient

Ambulance type A
Area: Emergency Medical Services

Patient transport ambulance.

Ambulance type B (BLS)
Area: Emergency Medical Services

Basic life support ambulance. They can provide initial healthcare.

Ambulance type C (ALS)
Area: Emergency Medical Services

Advanced Life Support ambulance. Including at least a nurse or a physician and a nurse (when it is required).

Angioplasty
Area: Emergency Medical Services

Surgical repair or unblocking of a blood vessel, especially a coronary artery.

Application
Area: Emergency Medical Services

Means application software, i.e. an executable program that fulfils a more or less useful function, but is not relevant to the functioning of a system itself. Apps help EMSD practitioners make decision and create, for example, a computational model to direct the emergency patients to most appropriate hospital.

Area: Emergency Medical Services

Artificial intelligence (AI) is the simulation of human intelligence processes by machines, especially computer systems. Specific applications of AI include expert systems, natural language processing (NLP), and speech recognition and machine vision.
