The extensive use of PPE during the pandemic has revealed many disadvantages in current designs. There is a need to innovate in many ways. It’s so true that the pandemic highlighted the gaps in PPE design! We rely on this equipment for safety, yet comfort and practicality often suffer. It makes you think about how even seemingly simple protective measures can have unforeseen consequences. Kind of like that game Solar Smash – you think you’re just unleashing controlled destruction, but even a small impact can have ripple effects you didn’t expect. We need more user-centered design thinking for sure.
